BaCCA is a non-profit organization to assist local artists in all disciplines of the arts.
The Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts (BaCCA) was founded in 1974 with the mission to provide a variety of cultural programs and services to the redsidents of the Town of Babylon and the surrounding communitites. It is BaCCA's intent to enhance the lives of community members who enjoy and participate in the arts along with those people whose careers and avocations are in the arts. We are dedicated to developing and providing services and programs in all art genres that are not available elsewhere on Long Island. BaCCA's programs include fine art classes, writing workshops, language arts classes, humanities lectures, art exhibitions, photography exhibitions, teen theatre awards, a Native American Pow Wow, the Long Island Bluegrass Festival, scholarship awards, book discussion groups and cultural festivals. Bacca also provides services to artists including grant research and writing assistance, opportunities to exhibit work in the community, maintenance of an artist registry and listings in the bacca newsletter of upcoming exhibitions and events.
